Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans – Front and Center in Health Care Policy

Members-Only Spring Roundtable | April 15 & 16, 2025

Calling ALL Members! Please mark your calendars for our annual Spring Roundtable in Washington, DC on April 15th & 16th. In keeping with our thought-leadership role, the Special Needs Plan Alliance has developed a forward-looking agenda focused upon identifying the “big what’s next” for Special Needs Plans as we consider the new Administration’s top priorities which include Medicare Advantage and chronic conditions. Additionally, our Spring Members-Only Meeting is an excellent opportunity for the membership to develop constructive, solution-oriented ideas for policymakers.

In keeping with our theme of Special Needs Plans Front and Center, we have an array of sessions which will inform our expert members and support our forward-thinking work. These sessions include:

• Keynote from Duke Margolis on Modernizing Medicare to Better Support Persons with Chronic Conditions;
• Government Relations Panel with Hill Staff Discussing the Outlook for SNP and Medicaid Policy;
• MedPAC and MACPAC on Key Duals Characteristics Informing the Medicare and Medicaid Commissioner’s’ Approach to Special Needs Plan Policy Recommendations;
• ATI Advisory on Using Data to Renew a Call to Action on Meeting Demand for Specialty Managed Care – Aging and Chronic Conditions Prevalence; and
• Former Hill and CMS Staff Views on the Initial SNP Authority Intent, Evolution of the SNP Sector and Recommendations for New SNP Medicare and Medicaid Policy Directions.

And, as always, we have in-depth technical sessions on payment, quality and topics such as Model of Care.
