DESCRIPTION:Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans – Front and Center in Health Care Policy\nThe SNP Alliance Annual Spring Roundtable will be April 15th – April 16th\, 2025. Since the permanent authorization of Special Needs Plans (SNPs) under the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018\, SNPs have experienced little such transformative policymaking. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Congress have set sights on the Medicare Advantage program to increase transparency around both program costs and operations. At the same time\, the incoming Trump Administration views Medicare Advantage as a health care solution and nominated appointees have noted complex care populations as a priority. Over the next four years\, SNPs likely will experience notable policy changes impacting beneficiary enrollment\, benefit packages\, efficiency\, and historical priorities such as Health Equity and Social Determinates of Health. \nAt the SNP Alliance Spring Members-Only meeting\, participants will learn about probable policy priorities such as Medicare Advantage for All (Medicare Advantage for All – Preliminary Observations)\, the possible broad Medicare Advantage policy framework\, the Paragon Health Institute MA Blueprint\, and how Medicare Advantage policy will be impacted by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) – already preliminary DOGE concepts are being considered.
